Life is not always Either-Or. Life is often richer and more complicated when it is Both-And. So our 2014 conference seeks to locate and discuss ways we are building or could build synergistic partnerships that bridge gaps, explore intersectional ties, break down silos, and strengthen policy and action through collaboration and mutual activities..
Please note: the BFIC is accepting proposals for presentations, discussions, and posters. Your work does not need to be published in order to submit an abstract. The BFIC is interpreting this year’s theme broadly – if you are unsure if your topic is relevant to the theme, please submit an abstract.
We welcome abstracts for presentations, discussions, and posters that focus on but are not limited to:
We invite you to submit an abstract for review and consideration
The submission should include:
1) Your name, affiliation, contact information including email and phone number;
2) An indication of which topic areas your paper addresses;
3) An abstract, up to 300 words
4) An indication of whether you have a preference for a 15-minute paper presentation as part of a panel, a poster presentation, or 20-minute discussion-based presentation.
If your abstract is accepted, it will be your obligation to attend the meeting, register early for discount, and cover your logistics. We will also be asking you to submit a summary for lay audience, for sharing and additional information for future dissemination.
